Hy Applebaum and Perry Ressler (now deceased) founded R&A Architects AIA in 1963. Since its founding, Hy Applebaum has been the Principal in Charge of Design. Extensive experience in a variety of building types, coupled with the ability to understand and respond to complicated and exacting client requirements, has earned R&A the reputation as one of Houston's respected firms in design and building technology.

Creative architectural concepts - concepts that work aesthetically and economically, are functional and efficient; represent hallmarks of R&A projects. The firm has diversified experienced in Texas and other states in both the private and public sectors. R&A has provided a variety of services to individuals as well as corporate clients, and has worked with general contractors in negotiated programs.
